Disha Ganjegunte

Disha Ganjegunte is from El Paso, Texas, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She graduated from Texas Tech University, where she double-majored in Nutritional Sciences and General Studies with minors in Chemistry, Biology, and Theatre: Acting. As a first-generation student, Disha has built a remarkable career, working with the House of Representatives, the UNICEF Foresight Circle, and the Frederick Douglass Global Fellowship. She served as the Post Secondary Vice President of Texas HOSA and has been featured on shows such as the “Late Late Show with James Corden” and the “Jennifer Hudson Show.” Disha has also been recognized as one of the top 40 Changemakers and is currently a BeVisioneers Mercedes-Benz Fellow. In addition, Disha works with the United Nations, where she actively engages in initiatives that promote global health and sustainable development. She has been involved in conflict resolution efforts in high-violence regions, including Ireland/Northern Ireland, South Africa, Israel/Palestine, and the Texas/Mexico border. Disha utilizes a creative approach to advocacy, incorporating filmmaking, directing, acting, and keynote speaking to raise awareness and inspire global change. Currently, Disha serves as the President of the Harvard Chan Student Government Association, continuing her leadership in both academic and global arenas.
